Hi Guys!
Hope everybody is staying cool out there!
The Buzz
This week, the buzz was ALL about TLC’s new show Craft Wars…and for good reason! Craft Wars is really the first prime time craft show I have ever heard of EVER. And with seasoned craft vets like Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza behind the scenes and Tori Spelling hosting, this one is sure to get people talking about crafting (and getting creative!)
So cool…
Definitely check it out on TLC, Tuesdays at 10pm/9pm central, and talk about what you think on our Facebook page!
You can also see some of Tori’s new DIY jewelry line on OMG Crafts (You might remember we gave you a sneak peak from this year’s Winter CHA 2012 show – so cute!)
New Craft Products
Speaking of stuff we saw at the last CHA…We have Ranger’s new stamp and spray ink line inspired by Dyan Reaveley’s colorful work. It is called Dylusions and it is gorgeous…a whole new world of color for your stamping, scrapping, and mixed media projects and I for one am feeling really inspired by the possibilities! (P.S. Tim Holtz Distress markers are expected to be back in stock next week too!)

These were in the Ranger booth at the last CHA 2012 – created by Dyan Reaveley using the new Dylusions stamps and inks. See what I mean? Hello color! I love it.
At Home
So are your kids singing the “I’m Bored” song yet?
So many of us are figuring out ways to keep the kids busy this Summer and still do all the things we need to get done in a day. Can be tough!
Growing up, When my three sisters and I would proclaim hopeless eternal boredness, I remember a great family friend of ours would playfully retort “Only the boring are bored!” (Fine. Now we are boring and bored. Entertain us!!)
My parents would say, “Well Girls, There is ALWAYS cleaning to do!” (That will teach us ask! Sheesh! LOL)
With my 5 and 10 year old boys, I take a slightly different approach…
This year I made a LONG list of ideas for them and attached it to our kitchen wall. I made sure it stretches from floor to ceiling…just a bunch of giant sketch pads taped together to make a visual point that there is always something fun to do. Everything from making bottle rockets to creating doughnut recipes or having an impromptu family dance party. We all worked on it together and wrote it in crayon… Really seems to help!
Here’s to a super fun and crafty Summer!
