Thrift Store Find – Egg Cups

So many fun things you can do with inexpensive thrift store glass items
There is nothing like walking through a thrift store for inspiration. I always seem to find something wonderful…Even when I’m not looking for anything in particular.
My favorite section is the glassware section. It is always full of funky mugs, retro champagne glasses, and other treasures that are usually very inexpensive and full of personality.
The other day while walking through my local thrift store, I found these small, lovely, perfect ceramic containers (they look a little larger than typical egg cups to me – maybe pudding cups? Maybe I’m using them upside down? lol) These little beauties have so much potential. At just 98¢ each – I purchased all six – what a bargain!
My first thought is that these could provide a lovely vessel to give a dear friend a tiny plant or seedling. You could even write an inspiring word in glass paint on the outside or a favorite phrase or quote like “bloom where you’re planted” or a line from your favorite poem. Make a tag with plant care instructions and tie it around the base with a pretty ribbon in her favorite color.
These would also make gorgeous votive holders…Especially around a garden tub filled with bubbles.
What perfect little discreet containers these would make for potpourri or desktop chocolate kisses to warm up an office. One would also make a perfect ring/earring holder for a bedside stand in a modern bedroom.
What would you do with these cool containers?
These are about 3 inches wide and 4-5 inches tall…what crafty ways would you use these?

this is great! maybe you could put two together, drill a hole through the middle and make a very small lamp
I make them into pincushions topped with tiny doily and couple of flowers and ribbon.
There are great finds to be had in every thrift store.
